Digital X-ray

Greensboro Orthopaedics uses a digital imaging system in lieu of loose film (radiographs).  This new system provides us with a powerful x-ray tool that gives us immediate accessibility to improve the quality of our patient care. The image capability will integrate with a patients Electronic Medical Record.  This confidential patient information is protected by the latest privacy and security standards (HIPAA).

Our new imaging system provides immediate access to patients digital x-ray image between examination rooms and x-ray room which reduces time for retrieval. Our physicians can instantly magnify, contrast and scroll through digital images in a patient study using a high resolution computer monitor.  The system provides quick access to a patient’s complete digital image history and allows the physician to easily compare x-ray images side-by-side. 

Our new digital imaging system allows us to save to a disc a patient’s x-ray images which will allow a physician to take the images where ever they are needed.  It also gives a patient the capability to provide a copy of their x-rays to their referring physician.
